We are Your Traveling Reporters. At Postcards From the Planet, we send you virtual postcards to present some of the latest information in a wide variety of scientific areas. In addition, we discuss the political and societal implications of that scientific information, both within our postcards and here on our website. Thank you for joining our discussion.

Rosalind Dickinson has been a teacher and science specialist for children for many years. Her undergraduate degree from Harvard in American History and Literature reflects her love of words and writing; later, she researched frogs for her Master’s Degree at Bard College and learned to love wetlands. Most recently, she taught sixth grade. She is a gardener, a traveler, and active with local conservation organizations.

Diana Dickinson has loved science from the first day of chemistry class, when a minor explosion set the tone for the entire year. She has taught middle school science in California, and biology, chemistry and physics in Washington State, and currently works part time as a teacher and consultant (as well as doing scientific copywriting in marine biology). After graduating from MIT, she worked for some years in the computer industry before moving into teaching. Her hobbies include SCUBA diving, dog training, and knitting.
